“ I live nearby and often come to Tuk Tuk for dinner - it has never disappointed me! They have a great selection of classic Thai dishes - I wouldn't call their menu especially creative, but they do a solid job with every dish. Some of my favorites include the basil fried rice with chicken, the drunken noodle, and their chive cakes app. The vibes give "friendly neighborhood Thai" and the service is welcoming and efficient. A great spot to meet up with friends. ”
“ Tuk tuk being in LIC for the longest is still the best Thai food in LIC. The pad see ew was very warm and filling . It was ready in 10 min . The veggies are fresh . I always ask for a side of hot sauce I also enjoy other meals on the menu everything is always fresh and flavorful ”
“ Pretty much the go-to spot for Thai food in Long Island city. It's got all your classic dishes like pad Thai and pad kee mao and a variety of other signature dishes. Food was delicious and tasty. Full of Thai flavors. Service was prompt and friendly. Waitress continued with the water refills. Never had an empty cup! Ambiance was perfect. How can you not like the Tuk Tuk in the back? ”
“ I started visiting when they first opened. Stopped in 2020 for.. reasons. This was a favorite. Went back here recently with my partner and it was better than I remember. New decor, friendly staff, great food. ”
“ Great Thai food with some of the most affordable prices I've seen in the past year for NYC thai - noodle and fried rice dishes are $15.50 for chicken, tofu, veggie protein (writing this first week of July 2024). I thought the portions were a good size as well - I took some of my entree of pad thai to-go. My friend and I enjoyed our pad thai and pad see ew dishes. The service was nice, friendly, and refilled our waters throughout the night. We also were able to enjoy our meal and weren't rushed out even when the plates were cleared and we got the bill. I'd come back! ”
“ Food was good, a lot of varieties on the menu. Calm and relaxing ambiance. Great lunch or dinner spot. ”
“ The ambiance inside is wonderful i really admired the decorations and plenty of seating as well as the large space so there is plenty of seating and room. the service was on point and staff is always coming up to fill up water or help with any questions. they all wear QR code on their shirt for scanning but that was pretty silly to me since the tables have qr codes too. we got drunken noodles and krum pao from the specials part of the menu. i would not recommend the drunken noodle if was lacking in flavor and and dull to be quite drank however the krum noodles from the specials was glorious! with that in mind i suggest just ordering from the specials only since the other plates were mids. we also got chicken satay skewers which were decent 7/10 B+ ”
“ Yelp reviews brought me to this restaurant in Long Island City, which is not an easy area to get to by public transportation. The resturant has a warm family vibe; it is not too big, cozy, and there were lots of empty tables at my visit. The staff is friendly, never felt rushed and food service was quick. Everything about this place was good- from service to food quality and presentation. It is probably one of the best Thai restaurants in LIC. And a treasure spot for locals. ”
“ There is no need to make reservations here. I went on a Sunday night, and there were plenty of seats inside. They do have a coat rack for those who want to hang up their outerwear. The servers were polite and were readily around to assist you. There's a lot of room inside, so perhaps groups of people can dine in as well. I ordered the papaya salad, which is called the som tam thai in the restaurant. I liked the spice in the salad, which was kinda addictive. I also got the boat noodles, which are in both the noodle soup and explore section. The broth is dark and very delicious. It wasn't spicy, but there is no need to add spices in your soup for this dish. I tried a little bit of the pineapple duck curry, which came with rice, and that was alright. I would like to go back to try other foods on the menu. ”
“ Go here for reasonably-priced, tasty Thai food in generous portions. I had no trouble getting a table at 8pm on a Friday night. The service was quick and attentive, and the ambiance was super casual: murals on the walls, waiters in graphic tees, dimly lit but still bright enough to really appreciate your food. The food was plated a bit slapdash, but it was super flavorful and wasn't too greasy or salty. The mix of textures in their khao-moo-dang was amazing: chewy and fatty from the roast pork, crispy and crackly from the pork belly, next to juicy and crunch cucumbers. ”
